FAQ

  • How do I go about washing my car after it's been Spray wrapped ?
We Do Not recommend going through typical track car washes, as the tracks can scrape your rims. Signs are usually posted at these track style washes warning of that possibility. A TOUCH FREE CAR wash is recommended, it uses foaming soaps and pressurized water to soak and blow dirt and road debris off the vehicle. We also suggest Hand Washing as an option, using proper methods and techniques, such as the "Two Bucket, Two Mitt Method." Please use a soft sponge and microfiber as brushes and bristles may affect the finish of your vehicle. For the first week after getting your car Spray Wrapped, we Do Not recommend washing it or applying any specialty waxes, polishes etc.
  • How can I protect my Spray wrap?
You can protect your spray wrapped vehicle in a few ways, starting with the most cost effective method and that is applying either a Carnuba based Spray wax, Paste Wax and a Sealant after each wash. These waxes can last anywhere from 2-3 weeks, all the way up to 6 months. For the Ultimate Protection we recommend getting a Ceramic Coating applied to your Spray Wrap, followed by one of the previously mentioned Carnuba based waxes. A Ceramic Coatings is an invisible glass layer of protection, that makes the surface its applied to extremely Hydrophobic, repelling water and dirt.
  • Will a Spray Wrap protect my cars factory paint ?
The fundamental purpose of a Spray Wrap is to Protect the factory finish of your car. While a Spray Wrap is installed just like Automotive Paint, using primers, base coat, top coats, and clear coats. The key difference is that a Spray Wrap is installed over the factory finish, kind of like a winter jacket, protecting whats underneath from the harsh Massachusetts elements. When you are ready you can remove that jacket and go back to your factory finish underneath.
  • Will a Spray Wrap hold up to the elements (Racing/Hot summer/ Blizzard)
Spray Wraps are Extremely Resistant to the worst that winter can throw at it, (even our bipolar New England Weather) Our clients get their vehicle's, Spray Wrapped specifically to help protect the factory finish from the winter snow, ice and road. It can resist temperatures up to 200°F, and has the capabilities to absorb the abuse produced at racing or rally car events.
  • How long does a Spray Wrap last ?
Spray Wraps have been proven to last up to 3-8 years with proper care and maintenance. The longevity is dependent on various factors, such as the finish you decide to go with, how often is the vehicle driven, where is the vehicle stored when its not being driven. A high gloss finish will last the long in comparison to a Satin & Matte finish, as the Gloss Clear Coats resistant to most chemicals, gasoline spills, while also having self healing qualities. Minor surface scratches caused during vehicle washes typically heal and go away over time with exposure from the Sun. Scratches that you can feel with your nail are not minor and will not go away.
